Due to the recommendations of the World Health Organisation with regards to isolation of patients with suspected Coronavirus, we ask that if you suspect you may have it, please do not come into the Practice. Please call us immediately, so we can triage and discuss your options with you.
We recommend you calling the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 020 080 if you need further advice and instruction, and if you are really unwell to head to your local Emergency Department.
It is recommended to keep yourself isolated for 2 weeks, especially as there is no treatment for this virus at this stage.
Due to the demand on our Nursing time with 5 doctors consulting, we request that when you are booking the following appointments with your GP, you also require an appointment with the Nurses.
- Dressing and wound reviews;
- Removal of Sutures;
- Excisions and Biopsies;
- ANY Vaccination, immunisation, injection;
- Ear Syringes;
- Iron Infusions;
- Mirena Insertions and Removals;
- Implanon Insertion and Removals;
- ECG and Spirometry;
- Employment Medicals; Dive Medicals, Aviation Medicals, Drivers Licence Medicals; and
- Health Assessments.
You MUST advise Reception (and online bookings) at the time of booking these appointments, that you require the Nurse, to avoid having to re-book when the Nurse is available.
When receiving results over the phone, we will always ask you your full name and another TWO individual identifiers to ensure we are speaking to the correct patient.
We will do this every time we speak with you over the phone regarding results or any other health information you require.
We do this for YOUR Privacy, not to inconvience you.
We also WILL NOT provide personal or health information to a person other than yourself, on your behalf. You can not call up for your spouse or child under 16 years of age, regardless of whether you were in the initial appointment with them or if you paid for the consultation.
Again, this is for YOUR privacy.
DID NOT ATTEND NOTICES AND PAYMENTS
We are a fully booked Medical Practice with a Cancellation list for patients who were unable to get an appointment.
We are also a Practice who send out SMS reminders to all patients with a valid mobile number on their files, the day before their booked appointment time. We also provide appointment cards to all patients, unless otherwise advised, of their booked appointment time.
All we ask is if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment to please contact the surgery and advise so. This way we can offer that appointment time to someone on our cancellation list.
If you do not advise us that you are unable to attend within 2 hours of your appointment time, you will first receive a letter advising you missed an appointment. If you miss another appointment, you will be billed a $36 DNA fee. This is non rebateable from medicare and is payable before your next consultation.
