Covid & Respiratory Virus Safety Protocols

Belgian Gardens Medical Centre is committed to providing you with care for as long as we can, while also keeping patients, Doctors and Staff safe.

For this reason, some of our Doctors have decided to continue with Telephone Consultations if you wish to use this service. Please note that this is not to be used for convenience only, as we still prefer to see you face-to-face. Telephone consultations will only be made available with the Doctors that are happy to do so, and can only be with your regular Doctor. You must also have been seen face-to-face in the last 12 months.

If you have any cold or flu symptoms, including sore throat, runny nose, fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore ears you MUST advise Reception at the time of booking for further instructions. Please do not come into the Practice without advising us of your symptoms, so that we can all continue to follow the protocols we have in place to minimise the spread to us all.

Our Nurses are still available for advice on cold/flu symptoms and anything else you may wish to ask that doesn't require doctor intervention.

Belgian Gardens Medical Centre supports a number of General Practitioners, with our team of Practice Nurses, Reception Staff, and a Practice Manager.

We are located in the Belgian Gardens Health Hub – 23 Bundock Street, Belgian Gardens.

We work closely with the Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology and Wholelife Pharmacy next door and have sufficient customer parking at the side and back of the complex.

Belgian Gardens Medical Centre is a Teaching Partner of the College of Medicine and Dentistry at James Cook University.

When we have Medical Students in with Dr. O’Reilly we will always ask your permission if they are ok to sit in on your consultation, please advise us if you do not wish for the medical student to be in attendance.
