Covid Safety Protocols

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we are currently facing, Belgian Gardens Medical Centre is committed to providing you with care for as long as we can, while also keeping our patients, Doctors and Staff safe.

For this reason, we have decided that we will continue with Telephone Consultations if you wish to use this service. Please note that this is not to be used for convenience only, we still prefer to see you face-to-face.

If you have any cold or flu symptoms, including sore throat, runny nose, fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore ears you MUST advise Reception at the time of booking for further instructions. Please do not come into the Practice unless you have spoken with your Doctor or the Receptionist and they have advised you to do so.

Medicare Legislation states that we can only provide a Telephone Consultation to you if you have been seen for a face-to-face consultation in our Practice within the last 12 months.

Our Nurses are still available for advice on cold/flu symptoms and anything else you may wish to ask that doesn't require doctor intervention.

Belgian Gardens Medical Centre has a number of local GPs including; Dr Nichola O’Reilly, Dr Fiona Flemming, Dr Michelle Vollmerhouse, Dr Martin Carr, Dr Geetanjali Baveja, Dr Cynthia Filipcic, and Dr Mark Foreman, together with our friendly staff consisting of a Practice Manager, Practice Nurses and Reception staff.

We are located in the Belgian Gardens Health Hub – 23 Bundock Street, Belgian Gardens.

We work closely with the Amcal Belgian Gardens Compounding Pharmacy and Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology next door and have sufficient customer parking at the side and back of the complex.

Belgian Gardens Medical Centre is a Teaching Partner of the College of Medicine and Dentistry at James Cook University.

When we have Medical Students in with Dr. O’Reilly we will always ask your permission if they are ok to sit in on your consultation, please advise us if you do not wish for the medical student to be in attendance.
